Its rarity and the sheer volume of petals required for extraction make it a highly prized and sought-after oil, symbolizing purity, passion, and deep healing in cultures around the globe. Though considered a luxury among essential oils, Rose oil is a must-have for connoisseurs. It's a versatile elixir that transcends its captivating fragrance.
About Rose Essential Oil
Rose oil is extracted through solvent extraction, creating rose absolute oil or steam distillation, resulting in rose otto oil. The two variants differ in color, consistency, and initial aroma. Rose absolute oil is a deep red, thick oil with an intense fragrance, while rose otto oil is light yellow, thin in consistency, and has a strong initial aroma.

It takes approximately 60,000 roses to create a mere ounce of absolute oil, revealing the sheer dedication and effort behind this precious elixir.
-
Empress Josephine, Napoleon's beloved, was a genuine rose enthusiast who cultivated over 200 rose varieties in her famous garden. Her dedication was so renowned that even during wartime, her gardeners were allowed to pass blockades freely to maintain her floral haven.
